WellyBox and Reveal both find receipts where they already are instead of waiting for someone to send them. WellyBox scans Gmail and Outlook and collects receipts sent over WhatsApp, for business owners, finance teams and accountants. Reveal is built for accounting practices: it starts from each transaction that needs evidence, retrieves it from client-approved sources and links it to the payment.

If you want a business's receipts gathered in one place, WellyBox does that. If you need the right evidence attached to the right transaction across a practice's clients, that's what Reveal is built for.

## How WellyBox works

WellyBox connects to a Gmail or Outlook inbox and scans it for receipts and invoices, which it collects and categorises. Receipts can also be photographed and sent over WhatsApp. It works with QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks and Excel, and with Google Drive and Dropbox.

It's a good fit for a business that wants every receipt gathered automatically without anyone forwarding them.

## How Reveal works

The client clicks a link and connects their email. There's no app to download and no account to create. Reveal reads the mailbox read-only, to recognise receipts and invoices: it can't send, change or delete anything, and the practice sees only the financial documents it retrieves, never the inbox. Supplier portals are connected once, and some ask the client to complete a security step.

For each transaction, Reveal finds the evidence, links it to the payment and shows why it matched and where it came from. It extracts the details and suggests a treatment, but it doesn't decide. Your team reviews it before it goes to the ledger. When nothing is found, the transaction is marked not found rather than filled with a guess.

## Where they differ

**Starting point.** WellyBox describes collecting the receipts it finds. Reveal works the other way round: it takes the transactions that are missing evidence and finds what belongs to each one, with the reason for the match.

**Sources.** Reveal also retrieves from supplier portals, such as Amazon Business, and from OneDrive and SharePoint, and it supports more mail providers.

**Ledgers.** Reveal works with Sage, FreeAgent and Zoho as well as Xero and QuickBooks. WellyBox adds FreshBooks and Excel.

**Who it's for.** Reveal is designed around a practice working across many clients, each of whom approves their own connections.

## Which should you choose?

- **WellyBox**, if you want every receipt in a Gmail or Outlook inbox collected and categorised automatically.
- **Reveal**, if you're a practice that needs evidence matched to transactions across clients, sources and ledgers.
